Welcome to randomengineering.com!
My name is Dave. I’m an electrical engineer by degree, and a controls engineer (what’s that, you ask?) by trade. This is my third attempt at a website/blog. The other two attempts failed because 1) I didn’t hang in there long enough, and 2) I attempted to narrow the scope of the theme of the site too much.
After realizing those two things, I set on a mission to figure out what my next adventure would be. A little brainstorming led me to the fact that my training, schooling, or just plain nature as an engineer affects almost every part of my life…my work, my hobbies, my relationships, etc.
That’s where randomengineering.com comes into play. It provides me the opportunity to write about things I enjoy and how my engineering background usually improves, but sometimes hurts, my life.
My interests include:
- My family
- Photography
- Cold beer
- Personal Finance
- Watching football
- Playing golf (although not enough)
- Competitive BBQ cooking
